Here is a reflection from Sr. Mary Michael after her Jubilee Celebration:
Dear Friends,
I am still enjoying the grace of our big Jubilee celebration last Saturday. The opening and closing hymns to me are big prayers – “may our living be thanksgiving….” (see the words in the picture below).
This is also a picture of us holding our candles. I was reminded of Revelation 14:4. We read this in the Divine Office prayers almost every time there is a woman saint.
I have to say, before the Mass, I felt like a bride about to get married. I was making sure all of my clothes and appearances were perfect, looking for something old and something new . . . I had a joy in my heart ready to renew my vows and ask God for the grace to live my vocation . . . God is so good.
Here is quote I found from Mother Teresa (it’s in Crystalina Evert’s book called “Pure Womanhood”, page 43):
“He loves you, but even more, He longs for you. He misses you when you don’t’ come close. He thirsts for you. He loves you always, even when you don’t feel worthy. When not accepted by others, even by yourself sometimes, He is the one who always accepts you. Only believe that you are precious to him. Bring all you are suffering to His feet, only open your heart to be loved by Him as you are. He will do the rest.”
