I have helped prepare for various ceremonies in our Community for a long time.  We choose holy pictures, scriptures, and music. 

Last month we lost one of our elderly Sisters, Sr. Mary Louise.  As we were preparing for her funeral with the music, for example, I was amazed how we were choosing the same kind of songs as we did for Vow ceremonies and Jubilee celebrations. 

We literally chose some of the same songs for her funeral. Why?  Because in both circumstances, we are “preparing” ourselves for union with God.

May God be praised for this vocation and calling us to union with Him in this life and in the life to come!
